    Every year I create postcards inspired by each zodiac animal and 2016 is the year of the monkey. Check out my first promotional monkey postcard created one full zodiac cycle, 12 years ago!

    This year, when asked to “draw me a monkey,” Yume (age 7) and Sora (age 9) provided quite distinctively different interpretations.

    Meet a little panda named Aya...

    Meet a little panda named Aya…

    Author Hanna Hymans Ostroff approached me with a story about Aya, a curious little panda and her encounter with a kind Buddhist monk. It was a challenge to take on the project as it would be the first time to illustrate an animal as a main character, but I enjoyed capturing her expressions and playfulness.
